Spring Rec League


The Carolina Lacrosse Association (CLA) is a division of dedicated to the growth of youth lacrosse for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players.  Formerly Mecklenburg Youth Lacrosse (MYL)

Overview. Participants are taught the fundamental skills required to develop into a complete player. At our primary commitment is teaching the game of lacrosse while providing a great experience and instilling a love for the game. We maintain a positive environment at all times, and our highly qualified instructors help each participant have a great time building friendships, lacrosse skills and a passion for the game. We have a very strong track record helping youngsters build self-confidence and athletic skills while having a blast in our programs.

Who can play? Team Carolina Spring Rec League has three divisions in the Spring 
5th & 6th Grade Division
3rd & 4th Grade Divisio
1st-2nd Grade Division 
(please note that nay 1st or 2nd grader that does not demonstrate the physical skill level or mental maturity to play on a team will be reassigned to the Running Helmets Division)
ADVANCED 6th GRADERS: The Spring Rec League is appropriate for the beginner, intermediate & seasoned player.  6th-grade  advanced players may want to consider our D1 TEAMS by clicking HERE

Season: 10 week season starts the last weekend in February and concludes the first weekend in May. After four skill development days, players are drafted onto teams to begin league play. The league is appropriate for the beginner as well as the intermediate & seasoned players.

Players practice two nights per week (check the locations below for your practice nights) Games are played on both Saturday & Sunday afternoons thru the season, however, most weekends games are either Saturday or Sunday NOT both days. (we also play some Saturday mornings away vs. other Youth organizations)
