2008 FALL LUMBERJACK & LUMBERJILLS LACROSSE
ACADEMY
LUMBERJACK THE
BOY’S ACADEMY
(1st grade through 8th grade boys)
Program
for boys who want to play on Sunday’s in the fall and get
an edge on their competition. The Academy is five weeks of excellent
coaching designed to improve individual and team skills. Each meeting
is two hours. The first hour includes quality instruction and skill
development. The second hour is the chance to sharpen those skills
in lacrosse games against players in your division. The academy
is appropriate for the beginner as well as the experienced lacrosse
player.
Players are grouped by age and ability. There will be an "advanced group" at each age group for players with more experience.
Four Boys Divisions: 1-2 grade; 3-4 grade; 5-6 grade & 7-8 grade.

BOY’S STAFF
Lumberjack
Lacrosse Academy is under the direction of Michael Desmond, founder
of Mecklenburg Youth Lacrosse (MYL). Coach Desmond is joined by
some of the areas best high school coaches including members of
the Team Charlotte Lacrosse staff. 2007 will include, but not limited to, Bobby Thompson, Providence Day School; Tim Price, Ardrey Kell High School; William Humphrey, Providence High School; Jamie Schmidt, Providence Day School, Matt Wiehl-Butler HS and Mike Gambrill-Myers Park HS, Rob Warren, Providence Day School.
DATES: Five consecutive Sundays starting Sunday, September 13, 2009 and ending Sunday October 11, 2009. While we will make every attempt to re-schedule dates that are canceled due to severe weather, we can not guarantee that they will all be re-scheduled.

REGISTRATION FEE
The
Lumberjack Lacrosse Academy registration fee is $225.00 per player.
The fee includes five dates of expert instruction from some of the
areas best coaches as well as current & former collegiate players,
and a five game schedule. Players also receive a Lumberjack Lacrosse
Academy reversible jersey, and Lumberjack t-shirt.
Registration Deadline is Friday, September 4, 2009

GIRLS STAFF
Lumberjack Girls Lacrosse Academy is under the co-direction
of Charlotte Catholic head coach Denise Bier and Queens University head coach Meghan Dennehey. Denise and Meghan are joined by other Charlotte HS coaches and college players from Queens University and Belmont Abbey College.

Reminders:
WATER.
Water is not provided at the fields and every player is responsible
to bring enough water or Gatorades to hydrate during the academy.
CANCELLATION & CHANGES. All cancellations and changes to the schedule
(due to severe weather) will be posted on www.StickWithUs.org .
The site will be updated 45 minutes before your scheduled start
time. Please get in the habit of checking the site before you depart
for the field. Changes are also posted on the StickWithUs.org phone
