Fort Mill Middle School Teams

Our 20th Year...Since 2001

The Fort Mill Middle School lacrosse program is under the direction of Catawba Ridge High School head coach, Mike Gambrill and the Fort Mill High School head coach, Mike Desmond.  The teams will be coached by Catawba Ridge High School assistant coach, Dalton Steed and the Fort Mill High School assistant coach, Alex Tindall.

WHO CAN PLAY ON THE SC LAKERS MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM
Our spring middle school team is open to current 6th, 7th, & 8th graders who live in York County and will attend Fort Mill HS, Nations Ford HS, or Catawba Ridge HS. The SC Lakers will field two teams that will practice 3-4 days a week, then play games vs other area middle school teams from NC and SC. If we have the numbers to do so, we will field two teams. After the first two weeks of practice, to ensure adequate playing time, we separate the boys into two teams (Lakers BLACK 8/7 & Lakers WHITE 7/6).

NOTE ON 6th GRADERS
The Lakers middle school is open to all current sixth graders, regardless of experience. The Lakers start two weeks earlier than our youth league – after the first two weeks, any player who does not demonstrate the physical size/maturity and skill set required to play middle school lacrosse will be moved to our youth league to complete the spring season. No refunds or credits are issued for the cost difference in these programs.
